ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — A community in St. Johns County is searching for five cats who have all seemingly went missing "out of thin air" recently within a span of a month, a post in a community Facebook group states.

The cats have all went missing from the county's Samara Lakes neighborhood, located near World Golf Village, according to the post. More specifically, the post states two have gone missing from Wynfield Circle, another two went missing from Bostwick Circle and the last went missing from Buck Run Way.

Izzy Duran, the user who made the post, is urging neighbors to check their Ring doorbell video from March 25-April 27.

"Everyone I’ve informed has found this occurrence extremely weird," Duran said in the post. "I’ve never seen anything like this."

St. Johns County Animal Control Director Paul Studivant told First Coast News he's not aware of foul play involving humans. He said the area has an alligator presence and has seen an increase in coyotes.

"Unfortunately, outdoor cats or feral cats can be easy food source for certain wildlife species like coyotes, alligators."

Pictures of the lost cats are below.
