ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — Parking in St. Augustine during peak hours of the day will increase starting Nov. 6, after city commissioners voted to increase rates and extend the hours of parking enforcement. The changes are a part of the city's new budget.
Parking rates will increase from $15 to $20 during peak parking hours from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will apply to the Historic Downtown Parking Facility.
During off-peak parking hours, the rate for parking will drop to $5 per vehicle, per entry. However, off-peak parking rates will not apply during Nights of Lights, special festivals and if free satellite parking and shuttle service are in operation.
Hours of parking enforcement will also change, extending from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. instead of 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Parking enforcement will also apply on Sundays starting Nov. 6.
Parking enforcement will apply to City-managed parking lots and street parking spaces.
All parking rates will remain the same for any registered St. Johns County resident using the ParkNow Card.
