According to the St. Johns County Fire Rescue Facebook, a home in the 2700 block of South Ponte Vedra Boulevard collapsed.
The home was unoccupied and no injuries were reported.
Law enforcement, fire rescue, code enforcement and building inspectors arrived on scene to inspect the damage. A fence will be put up immediately to keep the public safe from the debris. The property owner is ultimately responsible for getting rid of the debris and they must get it done within 14 days.
If the county cannot get ahold of the property owner, the county has the ability to demolish the house, clean the debris and file a lien or assessment for the fees on the property.
