JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — UPDATE: 79-year-old Doris Coleman was found safe Tuesday morning, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is asking for the community's help in searching for a missing woman last seen on the city's Northside.
Doris Coleman, 79, was reported missing by her family after she left a residence and did not return. JSO says Coleman was last seen leaving the area of 45th Street West and Moncrief Road in a black Kia Optima or Forte with an unknown man on Sunday, Feb. 4 around 3 p.m.
The sheriff's office said the man isn't considered a suspect relative to Coleman's disappearance.
Coleman is 5 feet 2 inches, approximately 160 pounds, and is diagnosed with dementia, according to police.
JSO says Coleman is well-known by locals on the Northside and asks that if you live in the area, "check any cameras, vehicles and property for Mrs. Coleman."
On Tuesday, a command center is set up at Clanzel Brown Community Center on Moncrief Road to assist Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department and JSO units in the search.
Anyone with information on Coleman's whereabouts is asked to contact JSO at (904) 630-0500.
