Police: Two men killed in Arlington shooting, suspect caught by K9

Jacksonville officers found two men shot to death inside the apartment when they arrived at Fort Caroline Road.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville police found two men shot to death in the Arlington Manor area on Wednesday morning.

Officials arrived around 6:30 a.m., where they found two people shot inside the apartment. The complex is called The Square at 59 Caroline. They were declared dead at the scene.

A witness told the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office that the shooting suspect stole a car. Investigators then used GPS to track down the car.

When police tried to pull the shooting suspect over, he ran into the woods. A K9 stopped the suspect, officials said. The suspect is being treated for the bite before being interviewed. Investigators are also continuing to speak with witnesses.

The suspect was arrested here, a second scene that First Coast News previously reported on.

It is unknown how many people were inside the apartment at the time of the shooting. Jacksonville police said they found weapons inside the stolen vehicle and are working to get a search warrant.

The identity and exact age of the victims is unknown, at this time, but police said both are young adults.
