JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating after a man was found dead in a wooded area in Southwest Jacksonville Saturday morning
JSO said the man was found dead from a gunshot wound in the 7300 block of Ironside Drive around 9:21 a.m.
The man appeared to be in his mid-20s or early 30s.
While officers are early in their investigation, they do suspect foul play.
Detectives are canvassing the area for witnesses and any surveillance video that may help officers during the investigation.
Police have not identified a suspect at this time.
