JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — One person was killed in an early morning shooting at a Ponte Vedra gas station.
Around 2:40 a.m., St. Johns County deputies responded to a reported shooting at the Circle K gas station on A1A. Investigators determined the shooting occurred after an altercation between two people. The victim was declared dead and the second person had been taken into custody, officials said.
There is no threat to the community, according to law enforcement.
