1 dead, 2 injured in Dinsmore fire, police say

The State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the fire that occurred around 1:30 a.m. in Northwest Jacksonville.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A person has died in a fire at a home in Dinsmore Thursday morning, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (JSO) says.

Authorities responded to Cranbrooke Court around 1:30 a.m. to a reported residential structure fire. Responders found three victims, one woman and two men, outside and the home "fully engulfed" in flames.

Three people were taken to a local hospital with fire-related injuries and the woman died, police said. The Medical Examiner's Office will determine the cause of death.

The agencies will investigate along with the State Fire Marshal's Office to determine the fire's cause. It's too early to suspect foul play prior to the state's investigation, JSO says.

Anyone with information regarding the fire is asked to call JSO at 904-630-0500, email JSOCRIMETIPS@Jaxsheriff.org or contact Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.
