A 61-year-old man was killed attempting to cross US 1 Thursday.
At 6:07 p.m., the man attempted to cross the road near the intersection with Bowie Street.
A car that was traveling in the inside lane to pass a bicyclist, moved back into the outside lane at the same time as the man walked into the outside lane.
The right side of the car hit the man and he died on the scene.
