ORANGE PARK, Fla. — A trip to the store turned out to be a life-altering experience for an Orange Park man. Brandon Thomas, 36 purchased a Florida Lottery scratch-off ticket called "The Fastest Road to $1 million at Prime Time Food Store, 188 Arora Blvd., Orange Park, according to a Tuesday news release from the Florida Lottery. Long story short - he won.
Thomas chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $790,000, the news release states.
