JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A high-speed chase in Jacksonville led to the arrest Friday morning of a man suspected of murder in Georgia.

According to FHP, the Columbia County Sheriff's Office in Georgia issued a bolo (be on the lookout) for a man suspected of shooting and killing another man and assaulting a woman during a carjacking in a church parking lot near Augusta.

FHP troopers spotted the stolen vehicle, a 2010 Nissan Murano, on Interstate 95 near Pecan Park road around 2:30 a.m.

Troopers attempted to stop the vehicle on Dunn Avenue, but the suspect eluded troopers and fled southbound on I-95, according to FHP.

The suspect, later identified as Daniel Nelson Robinson, accelerated at a high rate of speed, pulled away from troopers and exited onto Edgewood Avenue, according to FHP. JSO officers in the area helped in the pursuit and found the stolen vehicle abandoned near Lake Forest Boulevard and Wayne Street. A short time later, a JSO officer found Robinson and placed him under arrest.

According to FHP, blood was found on Robinson's clothing and inside the vehicle. Video surveillance proved Robinson was involved in the incident in Columbia County, according to CCSO.

Robinson was arrested and charged with aggravated fleeing and eluding and other charges.
