Multiple animals rescued from condo fire in Ponte Vedra Beach

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. — Multiple units were on the scene of a structure fire at a condo building in Ponte Vedra Beach Sunday afternoon, according to St. Johns County Fire Rescue.

The fire was at a building located on Cranes Lake Drive. Officials said several animals were rescued from the burning building. No injuries have been reported. 

The fire prompted lane closures nearby as crews responded to the scene.

Members from the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department assisted SJCFR in putting out the fire. Officials said units are conducting overhauls on neighboring buildings. 

Multiple apartments are believed to have been impacted by the flames.
