JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a sedan Saturday morning at the intersection of Moncrief Road and W. Edgewood Avenue. , the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said.
At approximately 2:20 a.m., a man in his mid-50s was heading west on W. Edgewood Avenue just past Moncrief Road and a woman driving a sedan was driving east on Edgewood. JSO said the woman made a left hand toward the Sunoco Gas Station at 6010 Moncrief Road, striking the motorcyclist.
The motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital where he died shortly after arrival, the agency said. The driver of the sedan stopped and is cooperating with detectives and there are no indicators of impairment, according to JSO.
This is the 121st traffic fatality in Duval County this year and the 22nd involving a motorcycle, the agency said.
