ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — Update: The United States Coast Guard Southeast said in an update at 6 p.m. Saturday that crews are continuing to search for a missing kayaker with partnering agencies throughout the night and into Sunday morning.
Search and rescue operations come after the 44-year-old kayaker went missing near the St. Augustine Inlet near the Vilano area Saturday afternoon.
Officials say the man was last seen wearing black pants with no shirt or life jacket.
The US Coast Guard is leading search operations, assisted by St. Johns County Sheriff's Office, St. Johns County Fire Rescue, and FWC as of 12:40 p.m. Saturday.
