UPDATE: School officials at Twin Lakes Academy Middle gave the "all clear" just before 5 p.m.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A bomb threat was called into Twin Lakes Academy Middle School, triggering confusion for parents looking to pick up their children from school Monday afternoon.
Officials evacuated the school around 3:30 p.m. after the threat and sent students to neighboring Twin Lakes Elementary to board buses to go home, a spokesperson for Duval County Public Schools told First Coast News.
Scheduled student release time is 4:15 p.m.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office assisted the school district with the investigation.
