JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Rebecca Dunn, the daughter of Michael Dunn, is the first family member to speak after Dunn's conviction on four of five counts in connection with the death of 17-year-old Jordan Davis. In this exclusive interview, in partnership with First Coast News Anchor Heather Crawford, ABC News spoke with Rebecca at her home in Iowa.

"The fact that he is facing 60 years does not make sense to me, like my world is not right. It's not right," she said.

Rebecca Dunn is still in disbelief, shocked her father was found guilty of three counts of attempted second-degree murder. Mandatory sentencing guidelines in Florida mean that the 47-year-old will likely spend the rest of his life in prison.

"I was confident he was going to be found not guilty because I know what he says happened is true," she said.

Twelve jurors deliberated for more than 30 hours before reaching the guilty verdicts on four counts. But on the most serious charge, first degree murder for the shooting death of Jordan Davis the jury was deadlocked. The judge declared a mistrial.

State Attorney Angela Corey says she plans to retry Dunn. Rebecca is not giving up hope her father will be set free.

"The problem is time, and how long is that going to take. I'm torn up about this whole year, and it's still not over so I'm drained. I'm tired of not being able to sleep, tired of crying all the time. I just want to go back to my happy self," she said.

Rebecca says her father is not the villain he was portrayed as, and she is standing by his side.

"We would not be supporting him if we knew him to be a bad man," she said. "That just wouldn't happen, so he's a good man. He's not a racist. He's very loving. He has a family who loves him, and I feel like people need to remember with this verdict his family is over here suffering, just like Jordan's family is suffering so no one wins in this."
