From inside the Jacksonville Landing to inside your home, a local business is salvaging parts of the Landing for people to buy.
Eco Relics saves anything from doors to signs and other antiques from ending up in the trash. Annie Murphy and her husband Michael Murphy are now doing the same with items from the iconic Jacksonville Landing.
“We’re just trying to save pieces from it...we’re kind of straddling the line of saving history but saving the environment at the same time.” Annie Murphy said.
Recently, the Eco Relics team was inside Maverick's peeling off the cyprus wood-paneled walls. Annie Murphy says with an item like these wood pieces, customers can get creative. Some of the wood is as long as ten or twelve feet, perfect for Eco Relics to create a table.

Jacksonville company salvaging pieces from Jacksonville Landing
“Everybody seems to have someplace in their heart for the landing," Annie Murphy said.
So far the company has sold a door from the Deep Blue Bar, art prints from Chicago Pizza and a sink. The team is still working to bring in new pieces from the Landing and expect to have them in their Stockton Street shop in the coming days.
Currently still up for grabs is the entire Hooters bar top that took six hours to extract. However, there's a cost for salvaging the Landing.
“Everything I take out of the landing I have to pay for either by the pound or by the piece,” Annie Murphy said.
Eco Relics plans to save unique items from the Landing like bar tops, as well as lights, ceiling fans, wood, doors, and even bricks.
They will be in the Landing for at least the next three weeks pulling items out for interested customers. With things like lights priced at $25 or the Hooters bar top for $1,800, Annie Murphy thinks there is a little bit of Jax history for everyone.
Customers interested in buying a part of the landing, or looking for specific pieces to be salvaged can contact Eco Relics at (904) 330-0074.
