JACKSONVILLE -- A fight involving eight students has led to a tense atmosphere on the campus of Robert E. Lee High School in Jacksonville.
Schools spokesperson Marsha Oliver tells First Coast News that there was a large fight at the school early this morning and that extra security is at the school and an investigation is underway.
There have been 22 fights at Lee in the past two months alone, according to data provided by Duval County Public Schools.
The school has not been placed on lock down however a teacher tells First Coast News that students are being told to stay inside classrooms.
Several parents have come to the school to pick up their kids because of the incident.
Oliver says parents were not notified about the incident because the school day has not been disrupted.
