Attorneys for a woman accused of murdering a missing Nassau County mother are fighting to keep new evidence from being released to the public, according to court records.
Kimberly Kessler, also known as Jennifer Sybert, is considered the prime suspect in the death of Joleen Cummings. Cummings went missing back in May.
Kessler’s attorneys are fighting to keep several surveillance videos from reaching the public.
New court discovery documents indicate there are at least 15 surveillance videos from businesses such as Walmart, Dick’s Wings and Extreme Car Wash.
Kessler’s attorneys are also trying to keep private police reports and new evidence photos taken inside and outside Tangle’s Hair Salon where both Kessler and Cummings worked.
Such evidence has never been seen before.
Kessler’s next court date is March 21 in Nassau County.
