Judge: 'All clear' given after bomb threat was reported at Duval County court

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office tells First Coast News that it was investigating an incident, as no further information was provided.

DUVAL COUNTY, Fla. — An "all clear" was given Wednesday morning after a bomb threat was reported at the Duval County court, Judge Salvador announced in the courtroom she presided over.

The courthouse is located at 501 West Adams St. in Downtown Jacksonville. During the bomb threat, the courthouse did not allow anyone to enter or leave.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office told First Coast News that the call where the bomb threat was made, came from a "911 only phone." Call notes stated the voice sounded like a "middle-aged white male," according to the incident (information) report.

K9 units responded and swept the exterior of the courthouse as well as public areas on the first and second floors, as "no suspicious device was found," the report states. The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department says it was not called to the courthouse.

First Coast News will provide updates if more become available.
