JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — An officer with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office was arrested Sunday evening and charged with driving under the influence.
Sheriff T.K. Waters said Todd Chubb, a 9-year employee of the agency, was found slumped over the steering wheel of his personal vehicle around 5:30 p.m. Waters said an open alcohol container was also found in the vehicle.
The sheriff said Chubb refused a field sobriety test but, "based on the totality of facts gathered during the investigation," he was arrested for DUI.
This is the ninth arrest of a JSO employee by the agency.
"When a member of this agency violates the law, that person will be held accountable," Waters concluded.
