JSO: Man shot in Normandy Manor area expected to recover from injuries

The agency said the victim was walking in the area of 8200 Herlong Road when he was shot by an unknown suspect.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man was injured following a shooting on the Westside near Normandy Manor Friday evening, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Around 9 p.m., officers responded to a person shot on Herlong Road. 

Prior to officers arriving, the victim drove himself to a hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, the agency said.

The investigation showed the victim was walking in the area when he was shot by an unknown suspect. JSO said It appears the victim was targeted and the shooting is an isolated incident.
