JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man is recovering after being shot on the Northside Saturday night, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Around 6 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to a man shot near 7800 New Kings Road. Officers found a man with a gunshot wound on his hip.
The victim was taken to a local hospital and is in non-life-threatening condition, police said. JSO's initial investigation showed, "the victim was at the incident location when he was shot by a suspect who then fled the area."
