JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Authorities discovered the bodies Wednesday of a man who shot his ex-wife then took his own life inside a Southside apartment, authorities say.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, Daniel Curt Sallas apparently shot his ex-wife Lori Ann Sallas at the Elements of Belle Rive in the 10000 block of Belle Rive Boulevard before turning the gun on himself.
The pair were found by one victim's father inside the apartment. They appeared to have died within the last 24 hours.
JSO says the two were divorced but continued to see each other on and off.
Daniel, 43, was arrested in April for domestic violence against his 42-year-old ex-wife and a prior incident in 2012, JSO says.
JSO is continuing its investigation.
