JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man is in critical condition after police say he was shot in the head following a dispute over property.
Around 10:30 a.m., the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said a man in his 20s was shot in the 5600 block of Cagle Road. The Jacksonville Fire & Rescue Department said the man suffered a life-threatening gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to a local hospital and remains in critical condition, JSO said.
Police said two individuals were involved in a dispute over property with the victim producing a handgun.
Several people have been detained and are being questioned, the agency continued. Police said there is no additional threat to the community.
The investigation is ongoing.
