JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- An inmate in the custody of the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office died Wednesday morning.
According to JSO, Thoumara Torres was found unresponsive Tuesday afternoon while incarcerated at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility at 500 E. Adams Street.
Responders performed CPR and the 29-year-old female was taken to a local hospital, according to JSO. She was pronounced dead early Wednesday morning.
Her death is being investigated as a suicide, according to JSO.
Torres was originally incarcerated in 2013 for battery.
