JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A corrections officer with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office was arrested Friday.

Officer Ian Murray is facing charges of grand theft and two counts of falsifying official documents by a public servant, according to a release from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Murray has been with JSO since December of 2009 and was assigned to the Montgomery Corrections Center in the 4700 block of Lannie Road.

The charges stem from an investigation by JSO's Integrity Unit, which determined Murray submitted military leave requests on two separate occasions for dates when he did not have military duty. Murray is currently a Sergeant with the Army Reserves.

Murray has placed on leave without pay.
