JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of a corrections officer on a domestic battery charge Monday.
JSO was called out to Corrections Lieutenant Alphonso Waddell's residence at 1:30 Monday morning in regards to a domestic dispute.
The complainant was a family member, JSO said. They told police Waddell grabbed their throat while they were on the phone. JSO said a child witnessed the incident, but was not injured.
