JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating after a man's body was found in a field on the Westside Saturday, but they do not currently suspect foul play.
A man in his "20s or 30s" was found near 800 Benbow St. near Commonwealth Avenue just after 8 a.m., the agency said. A neighbor was walking their dog, saw the body and notified police, JSO said.
The body was found in a field area beside the area. Detectives are searching to notify next of kin, JSO said.
A cause of death has not been determined. JSO will wait on results from the Medical Examiner's Office and detectives have cleared the scene, according to JSO.
