JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Two people were injured in a head-on crash on the Westside Thursday morning, police say.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, a minivan and a SUV were involved in an accident on Pickettville Road near Commonwealth Avenue around 5:50 a.m.
Two elderly people inside the minivan were transported to the hospital. Police say the elderly man, who was driving the van, was listed as life threatening and the elderly woman was listed as non-life threatening.
The driver of the SUV was not injured, according to police.
JSO's Traffic Homicide Unit responded to the scene.
