JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Editor's note: This story has been updated to include the victim's name.
A man is dead after an 'industrial accident' at a business in Lackawanna on Tuesday, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
The victim has since been identified as Jason Barrett.
Police were called at approximately 9:25 a.m. Tuesday in reference to an 'industrial accident' in the 4500 block of Dignan Street, Lineage Logistics.
When officers arrived, they found a man between the age of 30 and 40 trapped under a semitruck.
The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department pronounced the man dead on the scene.
The initial investigation shows the victim was performing maintenance under the semitruck when something caused the trailer to collapse, pinning the victim under the semitruck.
A joint investigation between the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and JSO remains ongoing.
