JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — All southbound lanes on Dames Point Bridge have reopened after being shut down following a crash with injuries Saturday night.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash involving two vehicles happened on the south end of the bridge.
One driver was rescued from the water after their car went over the bridge wall during the crash, FHP said. That person has been transported to the hospital for their injuries.
Authorities said the car was resting in five feet of water after going over the bridge.
No other injuries have been reported at this time.
