Jacksonville's Mayo Clinic ranked No. 1 in Florida by U.S. News & World Report

Mayo has now been ranked No. 1 in the state for eight of the past nine years.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Mayo Clinic has been ranked the No. 1 hospital in Florida on the U.S. News & World Report's "Best Hospitals" list. 

The clinic has been ranked No. 1 for eight of the past nine years, and is ranked nationally in 10 different specialties.

The list analyzes data for 5,000 medical centers to determine the rankings.

"We are humbled and honored to once again be ranked as the top hospital in Florida by U.S. News & World Report," says Kent Thielen, M.D., CEO of Mayo Clinic in Florida. "Our outstanding teams are dedicated to continuing to push the boundaries of medicine while providing the highest quality care to each of our patients."

U.S. News & World Report judges factors such as patient experience, patient survival, discharge outcomes, nurse staffing, advanced technology, patient services and reputation with other medical experts.

These are the 10 specialties Mayo is ranked for:

  • Diabetes and Endocrinology
  • Ear, Nose and Throat
  • Gastroenterology and GI Surgery
  • Geriatrics
  • Neurology and Neurosurgery
