JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Hooray, it's a boy! The Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens is celebrating the birth of a baby giraffe.
On Thursday, 13-year-old Luna gave birth to her 6th calf.
After conducting a neonatal exam, the zoo said the calf is strong and healthy.
Animal care and staff will continue to monitor Luna and her calf.
