Jacksonville, Fla. –The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is offering a free program to those buying and selling items using online market places.

They’ve provided 6 locations across the city where users can make legal transactions, safely. Jacksonville resident Jack Hackett said it’s something he’s excited to use.

“I went to college in Gainesville where the they launched a similar initiative and it worked out really well for everyone, so it’s nice to know they’re offering security here as well.”

The program is part of the Department’s 12 days of Holiday Safety. Authorities are encouraging everyone to beware of what they post on social media to avoid being targeted by thieves.
