JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville police are looking for a missing man who was last seen on the city's Northside earlier this month, his family told First Coast News on Monday.

Willie Douglas, 28, was last seen on Moncrief Road West June 15, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. The missing person report from JSO says he is bipolar.

On June 18 at 11:22 p.m., the sheriff's office says an officer responded to 5250 Moncrief Rd. West in reference to Douglas's disappearance. Upon arrival, Barbara Jones who is Douglas's mother, told the officer that she last saw him on June 14.

Jones further told the officer that her other son, Dante Lewis, last saw him on June 15 in the 5700 block of the road.

"She advised that Dante and Willie were together and [when] Dante had to stop to use the bathroom, she advised Dante left the car and when he returned his brother Willie was no longer in the vehicle and did not observe where Willie had gone," the report states. "She advised that it is unlike Willie to not call her to check in with her, [and] she advised that he usually calls and lets her know where he is however, he has yet to call her."

Police say Douglas left all his personal belongings in the car with his brother, including his phone and wallet, and that he also frequently visits Dunn Avenue.

"I made contact with the local hospitals and Mental Health Resource Centers, and I was met with negative results," the officer said in the report. "I canvassed the general area for the victim and was met with negative results."

Douglas is described as being 6'3, weighs 150 pounds, and has brown eyes and black hair, according to his family. A flyer shared with First Coast News says he was last seen wearing a tan hat, black shirt and blue shorts.

Anyone with information regarding Douglas's whereabouts is asked to call JSO's non-emergency number at 904-630-0500.
