Missing, 'endangered' man on Jacksonville's Westside found safe

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is searching for 78-year-old Gene L. Stein, who was reported missing Friday at 7 a.m.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — UPDATE: Gene L. Stein has been found. 

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says they are currently searching for a missing, "endangered" man on the city's Westside Friday, according to a news release.

JSO says 78-year-old Gene L. Stein was reported missing Friday at 7 a.m. Police say Stein is believed to be driving a white 2015 Dodge Dart with the Florida tag, 'NVUD89.' Stein also has been exhibiting signs of memory loss, according to the release.

The sheriff's office says Stein is 5 feet and 7 inches tall, weighs 175 pounds, has blue eyes, gray hair and was last seen wearing a gray sweatsuit.
