Jacksonville man wins $2 million from scratch-off ticket

The winner chose a one-time lump-sum payment of $1,280,000.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A Jacksonville man is $2 million richer after claiming a top prize from the Florida Lottery’s $2,000,000 100X BONUS CASHWORD Scratch-Off game. 

Avery Leach, 57, of Jacksonville, collected his winnings at the Lottery's Jacksonville District Office.

Leach, who chose a one-time lump-sum payment of $1,280,000, purchased the winning ticket from Circle K, located at 8820 103rd Street in Jacksonville. For selling the lucky ticket, the gas station will receive a $4,000 bonus commission.

The $2,000,000 100X BONUS CASHWORD is a $10 Scratch-Off game with eight top prizes of $2 million. The game offers more than 8.7 million winning tickets, with players able to multiply their prizes by up to 100 times. Overall odds of winning are 1-in-3.37.
