Jacksonville 9-year-old reported missing, found safe

The child's father told the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office the child was last seen with her mother on Monday. They were found safe on Thursday.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — UPDATE: Layla Jenkins and Nikita Adside have been located safe.

A nine-year-old girl was reported missing by her father Wednesday, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Layla Jenkins was last seen with her mother, Nikita Adside on Monday around 8:45 p.m. in the 1800 block of Myrtle Avenue. Police have not been able to find either one and are trying to ascertain Layla's safety.

Layla is Black, 4'10 and weighs 105 lbs. She has brown eyes and black hair. She is pictured below, as well as her mother.
