City of Jacksonville Beach shut down due to 'information systems issues'

"Effective immediately, the City of Jacksonville Beach will shut down due to Information Systems issues," a Monday morning news release states.

JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. — The City of Jacksonville Beach sent out a news release just before noon Monday stating that it is temporarily shutting down due to "information systems issues." The release, sent out at 11:41 a.m. states that emergency services and public safety are still fully operational.

"Please continue to call 911 if there is an emergency," the news release states.

City officials said the following services are impacted by the shutdown:

  • City Hall and Parks and Recreation facilities including the Tennis Center and the Golf Course will be closing immediately. At this time, we have no way to accurately predict when City Hall will reopen. We are hopeful to reopen tomorrow for normal operating hours; please continue to follow us for updates.
  • We are taking payments in-person for Beaches Energy Services through our drop box at City Hall (checks only) and online at BeachesEnergyServices.com
  • There will be extreme delays in sending or receiving emails with City staff and officials.
  • Waste services will continue as normal
  • Public Works Crews and Beaches Energy Crews will continue to work as normal.
  • Our Information Services team is working tirelessly to restore service to 100%
