JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — As Hurricane Milton is barreling toward Florida, many are preparing, and even tailgaters in Lot J Sunday morning were making plans get ready and stock their homes.
Rain and wind isn’t stopping the party here in Lot J.
“We never miss a game, rain, sunshine, whatever, we’re here," Gray said.
Some fans, like Alan Wagner, are preparing to stay dry while watching the game.
“I’ll bring a couple ponchos, a rain jacket but you know if they can play in it, we can sit in it," Wagner said.
Others are thinking about preparing their homes and stocking up on supplies as the hurricane makes its way toward Florida.
“We have generators," Keith Brown said. "We have a small one here but I have a larger one at the house that I plan to set up tonight, and we’re just battening down the hatches, picking up anything light outside and making sure everything is tied down."
As homeowners get ready for the storm, it is suggested to secure outdoor furniture, stock up on food, water, power supplies and an emergency first aid kit.
“Make sure we got gas for the generator, have a case of water and some food, but I've lived here in Florida my whole life so we should be all right," Wagner said.
