Below, you'll find relevant information for all counties that have an active volunteer or mandatory evacuation order.

Follow the links to double-check your address. It is important to note that a mandatory evacuation does not mean you'll be arrested if you do not evacuate, but it does mean you won't get any help from city services, including police, fire rescue and more.

JACKSONVILLE/DUVAL COUNTY

Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry has just issued an evacuation order for the following residents:

Jacksonville Beach, Atlantic Beach and Neptune Beach. He has also ordered an evacuation order for evacuation zones A/B, which includes most low lying, flood prone areas.

For the record, there are no sheltered animals in the evacuation zones. The Jacksonville Beach Animal Shelter evacuated to the City of Jacksonville Shelter, where the animals are being accommodated comfortably.

Authorities want to stress that animal care and protective services are not places to board pets during the storm.

ST. JOHNS COUNTY

St. Johns County has also issued an evacuation order 6 a.m. on Thursday, October 6 for those residents living along coastal and waterfront areas, as well as residents living in boats, RVs, and mobile homes. Residents should begin evacuation preparations as soon as possible.

IMPORTANT. Water service is being suspended to all of the barrier islands in SJC that are under a mandatory evacuation beginning Thursday, Oct. 6 at 8 p.m. ALL water will be shut off ahead of the storm. It will NOT be turned back on until crews are able to get out and access the damage and make repairs. That could take days. If you have not evacuated, please do so as soon as possible.

CLAY COUNTY

A local state of emergency has been declared for the county, and due to the area being within the storm's cone of uncertainty - meaning the storm's expected path - evacuations are being encouraged.

If you live along the St. Johns River, next to Doctor's Lake and easternmost on the areas of the tributaries off the St. Johns River and off Doctor's Lake you are strongly encouraged to leave your homes.

NASSAU COUNTY

Mandatory evacuations have been ordered for large parts of Nassau County.

The evacuation zones include A, C and F this includes Amelia Island, areas close to Amelia Island and Lofton Creek area.

FLAGLER COUNTY

The mandatory evacuation is for everything east of the Intracoastal, including Marineland, Hammock and Flagler Beach. That's zone A.

Zone B includes the homes along Colbert Lane to the south, all of the C and F section east of Florida Park Drive and the F section of Palm Harbor Parkway. This also includes the areas east of Old Kings Road, south of State Road 100 and western Flagler Beach.

To avoid traffic congestion, residents are encouraged to begin evacuating prior to the evacuation order.

CAMDEN COUNTY

County officials announced Wednesday that all residents in mobile homes and low lying areas should evacuate ahead of Hurricane Matthew hitting Camden County.

This voluntary evacuation is effective immediately, says the Camden County Board of Commissioners. The evacuation of the mainland is not anticipated at this time.

GLYNN COUNTY

Glynn County Board of Commissioners has called for a voluntary evacuation for the islands (St. Simons, Jekyll Island, Sea Island, and Little St. Simons Island), low lying areas, and mobile homes that is effective immediately. At this time, an evacuation of the mainland is not anticipated.

The Glynn County Board of Commissioners has called for a mandatory evacuation for residents in Evacuation Zone A which is all areas east of Interstate 95 in addition to Blythe Island and Oak Grove Island effective at 7:00 a.m., Thursday, October 6, 2016, in anticipation of Hurricane Matthew. Residents in this area should evacuate immediately.
