As Hurricane Michael strengthens and heads toward making landfall at the Florida Panhandle this week events are being canceled and postponed and businesses are closing.

FLORIDA:
SCHOOL CANCELLATIONS:
- Baker County Schools closed Wednesday and Thursday
- Bradford County Schools closed Wednesday and Thursday
- Columbia County Schools closed Wednesday and Thursday
- FAMU closed Tuesday-Sunday
- FSU Tallahassee campus Tuesday-Sunday
- FSCJ will close all of its campuses and centers on Wednesday starting at 4 p.m. (FSCJ will reevaluate if they want to reopen on Thursday at 6 a.m. A previous version of this story said they will reopen on Thursday.)
- Jacksonville University will close at 3 p.m. on Wednesday and reopen 8:30 a.m. Thursday
- Jefferson County schools closed Tuesday - undetermined
- Saint Leo University's Jacksonville Education Center and Mayport Education Office will close at 2 p.m. Classes are canceled and will remain closed through noon Thursday
- Tallahassee Community College Tuesday-Sunday
- Union County Schools closed Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
OFFICE CLOSURES:
- All state offices in Bradford, Union, Baker Counties will be closed until Thursday
- Columbia County has closed its government offices on Thursday (Columbia County School System, City of Lake City, Columbia County Board of County Commission Offices and Non-essential agencies
- Government offices for Alachua, Baker, Bradford and Union counties will be closed Wednesday and Thursday
- Dixie Third Judicial Court Circuit closed Wednesday and Thursday
- Hamilton Third Judicial Court Circuit closed Wednesday and Thursday
- Madison Third Judicial Court Circuit closed Wednesday
- Suwannee Third Judicial Court Circuit closed Wednesday
- Taylor Third Judicial Court Circuit closed Tuesday-Thursday
OTHER CLOSURES/CANCELLATIONS:
- Baker County Homecoming activities have been postponed until Nov. 3
- Clay County Sheriff's Office Neighborhood Walk
- Castillo de San Marcos and Fort Mantanzas National Monuments will be closed on Wednesday in St. Augustine
- Duval County Public Schools cancels all after-school activities on Wednesday, with the exception of Extended Day
- Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Public Safety Commission Meeting
- Department of Veteran Affairs' Marianna, Tallahassee and Perry clinics are closed until further notice
GEORGIA:
BRIDGE CLOSURES:
- The Georgia Department of Transportation will close the Sidney Lanier Bridge on US-17 at 6 p.m. Wednesday. It will reopen when it's deemed safe.
SCHOOL CLOSURES:
- Brantley County Schools closed Wednesday
- Camden County Schools closed on Thursday
- Glynn County Schools will be having a half-day on Wednesday, closed Thursday
- Pierce County Schools closed Wednesday
- Ware County Schools are on fall break
OTHER CLOSURES:
- Brantley Family Medicine Center will close Wednesday at 2 p.m. and reopen noon on Thursday
- Cumberland Island beginning at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday until further notice
- Department of Veteran Affairs' Valdosta and Waycross clinics are closed until further notice.
OTHER:
- United Airlines cancels all flights Tuesday evening through Wednesday afternoon at ECP (Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport), PNS (Pensacola International Airport) and VPS (Destin Fort Walton Beach Airport)
