Hundreds line St. Johns River for annual Jacksonville Light Boat Parade

Sailing from the Northbank Riverwalk to the Fuller Warren Bridge, boats of all shapes and sizes lit up the water, covered top to bottom with decorative lights.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Hundreds of Jacksonville residents lined the St. Johns River Saturday evening to get a glimpse of the top contenders on display at the 2023 Jacksonville Light Boat Parade.

Sailing from the Northbank Riverwalk to the Fuller Warren Bridge, boats of all shapes and sizes lit up the water and sky, covered top to bottom with decorative lights.

The parade is meant to celebrate the holiday season, but each boat owner was also vying for the best light display.

Some boats featured Father Christmas himself - either hanging loose off the rails or holding wrapped presents - one even shows Santa using a shark as a sleigh.

Thank you, Captains, for decking your hulls and sailing us into the holiday season! Congratulations to our 2023 Light Boat Parade winners. We hope everyone had a great time, thank you all for coming out!
