JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville Housing Authority Deputy CFO Greg Williams has been fired, JHA confirmed to First Coast News Friday.
The agency says Williams "failed" to report to work.
"JHA does not know why Mr. Williams decided not to return to work," they wrote in a statement.
JHA is now interviewing for a replacement.
In January, former-JHA CEO Dwayne Alexander resigned, claiming he was "pushed out" by Mayor Donna Deegan's administration.
"I feel I'm being pushed out in a manner not consistent with the law," he said in a resignation statement at the time. He had bene working without a contract for months at the time, with some board members questioning if he should be signed on again.
Vanessa Dunn was appointed as acting CEO and president.
