JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — From now until Nov. 17, you can take the whole family to enjoy rides, fair food and live music at the Jacksonville Fairgrounds.
This is one of the last years the Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair will be taking over the fairgrounds near EverBank Stadium as they have plans to move and expand the fair site by January of 2026.
Marketing Director Lisa Thomas shares how moving to the Westside will benefit all the rides and vendors that work the fairgrounds.
“We need more room. We genuinely need more room for everything that we do particularly if you’ve been over to the barn for the animals and everything is great over there absolutely stunning. Now that barn that will be even bigger and better as well,” she explained.
More room for animal caretakers like Randy Ross, owner of Robinson Pig Races. He’s been working at the Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair for the past 20 years handing out blue ribbons to those who pick the winning pig every race.
“The people here just love it and we love the people. I'm a people watcher and just love to see the kids' faces when they see the pigs run around the track,” added Ross.
If you want to attend the largest fair and festival in northeast Florida, gates open Thursday night at 5 p.m. For the full fair schedule, click here.
