The Glynn County Police Department responded to two accidental shootings last weekend in Brunswick, according to new police documents.

Police responded to one shooting on Friday in the 1000 block of Pennick Road, where a woman suffered a gunshot wound to her chin.

Another female, whose age was not included in the report, at the residence told police she had gone to retrieve a black handgun from her parents’ bedroom to show some boys who were over her father’s gun.

She told police she pointed the gun in a safe direction and when the shooting victim called her name she turned left and she fired a shot. She said she had the gun at a downward angle and the shot hit the victim in the face near the chin, according to the report.
