JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A Brunswick business was left destroyed after a truck crashed into the building Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Brunswick Police Department, around 12:30 p.m., the driver of a white pick-up truck was heading north on Norwich Street when it ran a red light. A commercial truck had the green light while driving west on Norwich Street when the two trucks collided.
Police said the white pick-up truck went into the front of the building, causing the awning to fall on top of it.
The commercial truck followed the path of the pick-up and crashed into the corner of the building causing the building to collapse.
This building was occupied by a computer shop called Discount Computer Outlet; a metal covering can now be seen covering their sign on the window.
According to the business' website, it has been open for more than 20 years.
Police said there was extensive damage to both vehicles and the building received major structural damage.
There were no serious injuries, but police are still investigating.
