GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. -- A Glynn County man was arrested after he allegedly broke into a woman's home and attempted to rape her Saturday night.
According to the Glynn County Police Department, Dene Stephens was waiting inside a woman's home on the 1000 block of Mallery Street in St. Simons Island.
When the woman arrived home around 4 a.m., police say, a struggle ensued and Stephens attempted to sexually her.
After the struggle, Stephens, 29, fled on foot.
Arrest warrants were issued for burglary, aggravated assault with intent to rape and kidnapping.
GCPD were able to find Stephens and place him under arrest early Sunday morning.
