NASSAU COUNTY, FLORIDA, Fla. — A St. Marys, Georgia man was killed Friday evening following a collision with a tractor-trailer, Florida Highway Patrol said.
The victim, 35, was driving a blue sedan traveling north on I-95 in the right travel lane near mile marker 381, a crash report said. The tractor-trailer was in front of the sedan, but the sedan was traveling at a faster speed struck the back of the tractor-trailer.
The victim, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene by Nassau County Fire Rescue, the report said. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.
